My name is Mark Cousens. I’ve been living in Folkestone for 5 years. My interest in hypnotherapy came about after being hypnotised myself several years ago when I wanted to overcome a fear of heights. I was absolutely amazed at the results – a few years ago I would struggle with high bridges, yet here’s a picture of me and my wife after ‘flying’ the zip line over Snowdonia, the second highest, longest and fastest zip wire in the world!
I found the process not only extremely effective but also fascinating, and this piqued an interest in the power of suggestion and the ability to reframe how I percieved things and remove limiting beliefs. This led to me reading several books and articles, and enrolling on a course in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), an integral part of hypnotherapy. I enjoyed the course so much that I decided to take it further, enrolling on a Diploma course with the Chartered Hypnotherapy Training School. I am now a fully qualifed Hypnotherapist, helping people overcome phobias, mental health problems, unwanted habits, insomnia and confidence issues.
I am registered with both the British Association of Therapeutical Hypnotherapists (BAThH) and the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) which is recognised by the NHS, and I am full insured, so you can rest assured that you are in safe hands.
